Today I want to tell you about a business you absolutely need to be in, no matter what else you’re doing.

Why?

Because it’s a “Need” business. Let me explain.

I have been in business for a long time and I’ve learned a few things along the way. You can learn from my mistakes, but you can also learn from my successes.

Here is a valuable principle I have learned, especially if you’re new to online business or any other type of business model.

“If you’re going to be in business, then you need to be in the “NEED” business!”

What do I mean by a “NEED” business ?

Answer: You should start a business where you are supplying “needs” not “wants.”

Why?

When you are offering a product in the category of “wants” you are subject to the changing desires of people and the ups and downs of the economy. If people lose their desire for your product, then you have to come up with a new product to satisfy their new desires.

If the economy changes where your product or service is no longer useful (do you remember 8-track tapes?) then you have to find another business to be in. Do you get my point?

That’s the power of a NEED business!

Here are examples of “need” businesses:

1. Food. Everyone needs food. The economy can’t change it or make it obsolete.
2. Real Estate. Everyone needs shelter. To be in this industry you can make some good money, but there is a long learning curve to do it right. Don’t let the late night “real estate gurus” tell you different.
3. Oil/Gasoline. This has become a need in our society whether you are buying it for your car or to heat your home. Some of the wealthiest people in the world supply this needed commodity.
